The First 70
The First 70 is a documentary that highlights the wonders and issues surrounding the 70 state parks slated to close on July 1. In The First 70, we follow filmmakers Lauren Valentino, Jarratt Moody and Cory Brown of Heath Hen Films as they travel across the state in a really cool bus, to visit all 70 state parks and capture the parks' endless beauty in images and interviews with those who love and care for them.
Top Transformational Films of 2011
As we start 2012 with all of the promise that it brings for transformation, let’s take a look back at some of the amazing films or 2011 that brought us to this point. The results of the voting are in for the Veiwer's Choice, and the editors at AwareGuide offer their top picks for 2011, and recognize some films with special consideration. Thank you to all of the people who voted - the response was overwhelming with over 5000 people from over 50 countries coming to vote.

Sundance Announces Selections
Sundance Institute announced the films selected for the US and World Cinema Dramatic and Documentary Competitions of the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. Academy Awards 2012 Shortlist
Its that time of year again when the members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Documentaries Screening Committee select a shortlist of 15 feature length documentaries and that are eligible for consideration for nomination for an Oscar for Best Documentary. From this list of fifteen films, five will be selected as finalists by voting members of the Academy's Documentaries Branch for the Best Documentary Oscar.

Colin Firth, Oscar winner for Best Actor in the film "The Kings Speech" went eco-friendly on the red carpet at the Academy Awards Sunday night.
